میں کدی تتی دھپ نئیں ویکھی
اوکھے پارے کم نئیں ویکھے

میرے سر تے پیو دا سایہ
جوں میں جمیاں غم نئیں ویکھے

پیسے بھاویں تھوڑے وی سی
اوکھا سوکھا ہو کے پردا

جو وی اج تک منگیا اے میں
مینوں اگوں ناں نئیں کردا

سڑ سڑ دھپ وچ میری خاطر
مینوں ٹھنڈی چھاں وچ رکھیا

مینوں تے بس ہاسے دتے
دکھ دا زائقہ میں نئیں چکھیا

گھر جدوں او ہندا نئیں تے
گھر فر اپنا گھر نئیں لگدا

بھاویں جنیاں ہون بلاواں
نال ہووے تے ڈر نئیں لگدا

اوکھے ماڑے ویلے وچوں
اوکھا ہو کے کڈھ دندا اے

میری خاطر او تے ہس کے
دنیا داری چھڈ دندا اے

ساڈی خاطر کر کر محنت
دن راتیں وی او نئیں تھکدا

لکھاں کوشش کر لاں پر میں
اودے ورگا بن نئیں سکدا

Transliteration

Main kadi tatti dhup nahi vekhi
Okhe paare kam nahi vekhe

Mere sir te pyo da saaya
Joan main jamiyaan gham nahi vekhe

Paise bhaven thode vi si
Okha sokha ho ke parda

Jo vi ajj tak mangiya ae main
Mainu aggo naa nahi karda

Sar sar dhup vich meri khatir
Mainu thandi chhaan vich rakhya

Mainu te bas haase ditte
Dukh da zayka main nahi chakhya

Ghar jado o hunda nahi te
Ghar fir apna ghar nahi lagda

Bhaven jinniyaan hon bulawa
Naal howe te darr nahi lagda

Okhe maade vele vichon
Okha ho ke kadh dinda ae

Meri khatir o te hass ke
Duniya daari chhad dinda ae

Saadi khatir kar kar mehnat
Din raati vi o nahi thakda

Lakhha koshish kar laan par main
Ode wargaa ban nahi sakda

I never faced the harsh sun
Nor did I face tough challenges

There was always my father’s protection
Since birth, I have never seen sorrow

Even with limited money
He made everything possible

Whatever I asked for until today
He never said no

He burned in the sun for my sake
And kept me in the cool shade

All he gave me were smiles
I never tasted the flavor of sorrow

When he isn’t home
It doesn’t feel like home

No matter how many troubles come
With him by my side, I feel no fear

Even in the toughest times
He finds a way out

For my sake, he smiles
And leaves behind all worldly affairs

For us, he works day and night
And never gets tired

No matter how hard I try
I can never be like him

मैंने कभी तेज धूप नहीं देखी
ना ही कठिन काम देखे

मेरे सिर पर हमेशा पिता का साया था
जन्म से ही मैंने कभी दुख नहीं देखा

पैसे चाहे कम थे
उन्होंने हर कठिनाई का सामना किया

आज तक मैंने जो भी माँगा
उन्होंने कभी मना नहीं किया

मेरी खातिर उन्होंने धूप में जलना सहा
और मुझे ठंडी छांव में रखा

उन्होंने मुझे हमेशा मुस्कानें दीं
दुःख का स्वाद मैंने कभी नहीं चखा

जब वह घर पर नहीं होते
तो घर भी घर जैसा नहीं लगता

चाहे कितनी भी मुसीबतें आएं
उनके साथ मुझे डर नहीं लगता

कठिन से कठिन समय में भी
वह हमें बाहर निकाल लेते हैं

मेरे लिए, वह हंस कर
दुनियादारी छोड़ देते हैं

हमारी खातिर वह दिन-रात मेहनत करते हैं
और कभी थकते नहीं

कितनी भी कोशिश कर लूँ
मैं उनके जैसा नहीं बन सकता

اس نظم وچ شاعر اپنے والد دی محبت تے قربانی نوں بیان کردا اے۔ اوہ کہندا اے کہ میں کدی وی زندگی وچ تتی دھپ تے مشکل حالات نئیں دیکھے کیونجے میرے سر تے ہمیشہ میرے والد دا سایہ سی۔ پیسے چاہے تھوڑے سن، پر اوہنے ہر مشکل نوں آسان بنادتا۔ شاعر کہندا اے کہ جو وی اج تک میں منگیا، اوہنے کدی انکار نئیں کیتا۔ آخر وچ شاعر اپنے والد دی محنت تے محبت دا ذکر کردا اے تے کہندا اے کہ میں چاہے لکھاں کوششاں کر لاں، پر اوہدی طرح بن نئیں سکدا۔
